Mens Sana In Corpore Sano

This project was designed and executed with Florian Brillet on the occasion of Forme Publique, a biennial urban furniture event in La Défense. Doing sports in urban spaces also involves tapping into the imagination to transform the city into an immense playground. By grafting sports functions onto signposts, the project establishes not a traditional closed and autonomous sports course, but rather leaves the possibility for each course to become a sports course. Each signpost can be seen as a small chimera hybridizing existing forms to include sports, the image of sports, and the idea of traversing the city. Ranging from the most common (basketball, soccer) to the most surprising (boxing, golf), the choice of activities proposed is itself a source of displacement. Whether one engages in the exercises or not, their presence suggests an unexpected use of space, inviting you to keep an eye out.
