Coiffeuse Mado

Perfectly combining veneer and solid boards (from the same log), delicacy and strength, this tribute to lady’s makeup-dressing table is a piece that was made for contests. Solid timber sculpted sides seem to be wrapping the legs. Top and drawers are veneered matching wood grain with the sides. To get legs as thin as possible, they are made of aluminium bars wrapped with ash veneer. Flap has a curved mirror inside and a back lightened Airwood stripe on its side. The flap also reveals a solid ash sculpture as a storage space including secret drawer when you press a button.

American walnut, inflatable wood, ash , aluminium, mat varnish
